Indulge in Crispy Smashed Parmesan Potatoes with Seafood Boil Sauce and Smackin' Seasoning

These crispy parmesan potatoes are golden, cheesy, and full of flavour, served with a rich seafood boil sauce on the side for dipping. The crunchy potato edges pair perfectly with the buttery, garlicky, Smackin' sauce, making this recipe the ultimate comfort food with a bold seafood twist.

Ingredients

Potatoes

  • 500g baby potatoes

  • 20g-30g shaved parmesan

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 1/2 tbsp Smackin Seafood Seasoning


Seafood boil sauce

  • 80g-100g unsalted butter

  • 1/4 chopped onion

  • 2 cloves minced garlic

  • 2tbsp tablespoons Smackin’ Seafood Seasoning

  • A squeeze of fresh lemon juice


Method

Potatoes

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (about 15–20 minutes).

  2. Drain and place on a lined baking sheet. Gently smash each potato with the back of a spoon or glass.

  3. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with Smackin’ Seafood Seasoning.

  4. Top each potato with a piece of shaved Parmesan.

  5. Bake at 200°C for 20–25 minutes, or until crispy and golden.


Sauce

  1. Melt the butter on low heat in a large pan. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing gently for about 5 minutes until fragrant and soft.

  2. Stir in the Smackin’ Seafood Seasoning and let it infuse for 3 minutes on low heat.

  3. Turn off the heat and squeeze in fresh lemon juice.

  4. Pour the sauce into a small bowl and enjoy dipping the potatoes!
