Flavourful Fusion: Soup Dumplings with Seafood Boil Sauce by Smackin' Seasoning

These soup dumplings with seafood boil sauce are a bold twist on a classic. Tender dumplings filled with rich broth are topped with a buttery, garlicky, Smackin' seafood boil sauce for the perfect mix of comfort and spice. It’s an easy recipe that combines the cosy flavour of traditional soup dumplings with the zesty kick of a seafood boil.



Soup dumplings with seafood boil sauce recipe

Ingredients

  • Soup dumplings (I normally use the Itsu brand which are microwaveable and come in a pack of 6)

  • 1/4 onion

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • 3 tbsp of unsalted butter

  • A squeeze of lemon

  • 1 1/2 tbsp of Smackin' Seafood Seasoning


Toppings

1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds

1tbsp crispy onions

1 tbsp furikake

1 chopped spring onion

1 tbsp soy sauce


Method

Sauce

  1. Melt the butter on low heat in a small pan. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing gently for about 5 minutes until fragrant and soft.

  2. Stir in the Smackin’ Seafood Seasoning and let it infuse for 3 minutes on low heat.

  3. Turn off the heat and squeeze in fresh lemon juice.


Soup Dumplings

  1. Cook the soup dumplings according to the instructions on the packet.

  2. Once cooked, spread your toppings out evenly across the soup dumplings.

  3. Spoon the seafood boil sauce over each dumpling.

  4. Serve and enjoy!
